Q&A with Mersiha Menkovic, office manager for the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery

When did you join the Department of Neurosurgery? What is your current role?

In 2009, I joined the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery as an executive assistant to Dr. T. S. Park and was promoted to office manager shortly after.

What is your role in the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery at St. Louis Children’s Hospital?

My responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and managing our division’s administrative functions. I provide admin support to our peds faculty, fellow, residents, and staff, and oversee the clinic. 

What brings you the greatest satisfaction in your work?

Many things bring me satisfaction in my work here. I love what I do, but I also am so grateful to work alongside such a talented and supportive team! I enjoy being part of a team where everyone knows they can count on one another. Even when times get tough, our goal is always to do what is right for the children!

What do enjoy outside of work? Who is Mersiha outside of work?

Outside of work, I am into fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Some of my hobbies include hiking, rollerblading and ice skating, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
