Joseph Walsh, PA-C, MMS

Joseph “Joe” Walsh is a board-certified physician assistant who completed a post-graduate fellowship in emergency medicine.  He has many years of emergency medicine and neurosurgical experience as both a practitioner and uniquely as a former spine product specialist with DepuySynthes Spine, a J&J company.  He began working with Washington University Department of Neurological Surgery at Barnes Jewish St. Peters Hospital when it was established in April 2021.  Joe obtained his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree from Missouri State University.  He has expertise in the treatment and management of both operative and non-operative spinal conditions.

On behalf of their son, he and his wife, co-founded Landon’s League Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the development of gene therapies for rare pediatric genetic diseases and help those affected by granting adaptive equipment to help them and their families with activities of daily living.  Their efforts, in collaboration with an international team of physicians and researchers, have led to the discovery of a new disease currently known to only affect seven individuals worldwide.

In his free time, Joe enjoys spending time with his family, watching the St. Louis Blues and Cardinals, and staying active by playing soccer, volleyball and golf.
