A milestone for the T.S. Park Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy Program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital

We recently celebrated a major milestone for Jarod L. Roland, MD, Director of The T.S. Park Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) Program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, as he completed his 100th SDR procedure.
The T.S. Park Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy Program, founded in 1989 by pioneering pediatric neurosurgeon T.S. Park, MD, and named in recognition of his groundbreaking contributions to the development of selective dorsal rhizotomy, has been a global leader in the treatment of spasticity related to cerebral palsy for decades, helping to improve mobility and quality of life for thousands of children from around the world through specialized neurosurgical care.
Having trained directly under Dr. Park, Dr. Roland continues this legacy through a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to patient care and innovation in pediatric neurosurgery.
Congratulations to Dr. Roland and the entire SDR team on this incredible milestone and continued dedication to advancing care for children with cerebral palsy.
