An internationally recognized neurosurgeon, scientist, and entrepreneur, he bridges medicine, research, and innovation—pioneering neurotechnologies that restore brain function, advance imaging, and improve surgical tools. He helped develop the first FDA-approved brain-computer interface for stroke rehabilitation, holds over 1,600 patents, and has founded eight startups translating discoveries from lab to real-world impact.
