Research from the Greenberg Lab has been featured in the All of Us Research Highlights series, part of the NIH’s national All of Us Research Program, for its contributions to understanding musculoskeletal pain risk and physical activity.
The publication, “Association of activity with the risk of developing musculoskeletal pain in the All of Us Research Program,” was led by Salim Yakdan, MD, MSCI, postdoctoral research fellow in the Greenberg Lab.
Using Fitbit activity data and health records from nearly 15,000 participants, the study found that higher levels of physical activity were associated with a lower risk of future neck, low back, and hip pain.
The recognition highlights the growing potential of wearable health data to advance preventive care and improve our understanding of musculoskeletal health.
