Elaine Kennedy, PNP

Elaine first began her career at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in 2003 as a patient care technician. She graduated from the University of Missouri- Columbia in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and became a RN on the 12th Floor, where most of our patients stay after surgery. After several years on the floor, she went back to school at the University of Missouri- Saint Louis to pursue her Masters of Nursing degree. She graduated in 2010 and became certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She joined the Neurosurgery team in 2012.

The best part of working with Neurosurgery patients is getting to know them and their families. I enjoy meeting families prior to surgery, then following with them throughout their hospital stay and subsequent follow up visits. I hope I can offer a sense of reassurance and help answer any questions they may have, no matter how big or small the question.
