A landmark event was held that showcased a vision for expanding the neuroscience scene in the St. Louis area.

This past month, the NEURO360 Symposium was held here at WashU, bringing together a powerful mix of researcher, government representatives, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, community leaders, and policymakers to explore the future of neuroscience in St. Louis. It was an afternoon of bold ideas, collaborative energy, and a shared vision for advancing neuroscience innovation in the region.
Dr. Eric Leuthardt, Lead & Co-PI of NEURO360, helped lead the welcome address and moderated a panel on “Using Inspired Research,” which focused on identifying the essential research priorities and infrastructure need to advance the St. Louis region as a leader in developing neuroscientific and engineering solutions. His talk emphasized how these solutions could impact the region clinically, commercially, and socially.
This event marks a significant milestone in the NEURO360 initiative, as St. Louis officially submits its full proposal to the National Science Foundation’s Regional Innovation Engines (NSF Engines) program. If awarded, this initiative could secure up to $160 million to drive neuroscience innovation, workforce development, and economic growth.
