Huguenard Officially Joins the Taylor Family Department of Neurosurgery

As announced earlier this year, we’re thrilled to officially welcome Dr. Anna Huguenard to the Taylor Family Department of Neurosurgery!

A WashU-trained neurosurgeon with dual expertise in both open vascular and endovascular techniques, Dr. Huguenard returns after completing a prestigious fellowship in cerebrovascular and skull base surgery at Barrow Neurological Institute.

She specializes in the treatment of cerebral aneurysms, AVMs, dAVFs, carotid artery disease, and moyamoya disease. She’s also an expert in interventional neuroradiology, including stroke thrombectomy, and provides advanced care for cranial nerve disorders such as trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm.

Dr. Huguenard’s research focuses on improving recovery after neurovascular injury or traumatic brain injury using advanced neurotechnologies. Her team is exploring non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation in clinical trials for subarachnoid hemorrhage, intraparenchymal hemorrhage, and acute ischemic stroke.

We’re honored to welcome Dr. Huguenard back and excited for the impact she’ll have on our clinical and research efforts.

Dr. Huguenard is now seeing patients at the Center for Advanced Medicine
