Today marks Dr. Brenton Pennicooke’s final day with the Taylor Family Department of Neurosurgery at WashU Medicine as he begins an exciting new chapter as Division Chief of Spinal Neurosurgery at Rutgers University-RWJ Medical School and RWJBarnabas Health.
Dr. Pennicooke joined our faculty in 2020 following a fellowship in complex spinal reconstruction and minimally invasive spine surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Over the past six years, he has become a trusted leader in spine care, providing exceptional, patient-centered treatment for patients with a wide range of spinal disorders while helping advance our department’s clinical mission.
A Castle Connolly Top Doctor, Dr. Pennicooke specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, artificial disc replacement, spinal deformity, spinal stenosis, spinal tumors, and spinal trauma. His expertise, compassion, and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on our department, our colleagues, and the patients and families he has served.
