Cleary selected as Advanced Surgical Neuro-oncology Fellow

Ryan Cleary, MD, will be one of the first Advanced Surgical Neuro-oncology fellows at Washington University School of Medicine. Currently a PGY5 resident in the Washington University Neurosurgery Residency Program, Cleary will be the 2023-2024 fellow.

Led by Brain Tumor Center Director Albert Kim, MD, PhD, and Chief of the Division of Neurotechnology Eric Leuthardt, MD, the Surgical Neuro-oncology Fellowship just launched and is accepting applications for 2022-23 on a rolling basis. Applications for 2024-25 are being accepted through Dec. 31.

Washington University neurosurgery faculty will train surgical neuro-oncology fellows on the most technologically advanced surgical approaches for the treatment of brain tumors. Fellows will learn to use both complex skull base techniques and the emerging surgical technologies that complement comprehensive neuro-oncological care.
