Celebrating the Graduation of Our Neurosurgery Chiefs Class of 2025

Honoring Their Achievements and Future Endeavors

We recently hosted our annual Chiefs Party to honor and celebrate our neurosurgery chief residents as they reach the conclusion of their residency. This event marks an important milestone as our chiefs transition from residency to the next stage of their careers.

This year, we are privileged to recognize our exceptional chiefs:

  • Diane Aum, MD
  • Rowland Han, MD
  • Ryan Cleary, MD

As they embark on their future paths, we are delighted to share their new endeavors. Ryan Cleary, MD will be joining the faculty at VCU as a tumor and skull base surgeon. Diane Aum, MD will be going to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery, and Rowland Han, MD, will be staying at WashU as a Research and Neuro-Oncology Fellow!

In addition to celebrating their achievements, several awards were presented at the Chiefs Party:

  • Kumar Vasudevan, MD was awarded the Faculty Teaching Award
  • Charise Garber, MD was awarded the Tae Sung Park, MD Primary Examination Award
  • Jane Yuan, MD was awarded the Robert L. Grubb, Jr., MD Clinical Excellence Award
