Making a difference

The Making a Difference program provides a unique way to recognize staff who go above and beyond to advance the Department of Neurosurgery mission to provide the best neurosurgical patient care possible. To recognize someone, staff and faculty can submit nominations at the Making a Difference email address.

Each month, three nominees are randomly selected and receive a Visa gift card.

A huge thank you to everyone who nominated a co-worker!

Here are our February gift card winners:

Rebecca Wald-Dickler

Becca works hard for our patients and for our practitioners each and every day. She is a joy to work with. Our patients are getting the best and most empathetic care because of Becca.

Rhonda Quint

Rhonda was nominated for coming in during the most recent snow storm to help. She goes above and beyond and it is always appreciated.

Amra Hukic

Since assuming the role of clinic receptionist, Amra’s optimism, enthusiasm and sincere care for our patients and their experience with us is extremely evident. She has promoted a positive experience even amongst her coworkers. She is always willing to help with any situation without question. She has been such a wonderful member of our team!

Michelle Reitz

Michelle is always willing to pitch in and has helped out many times with very little notice.  We had a clinic that had to be cancelled the day prior to the clinic, and Michelle came to the rescue and agreed to see the patients that were acceptable to be seen by a Nurse Practitioner.  This was great for patient satisfaction, not to mention that it saved the staff a lot of time as they didn’t have to reschedule the patients.

Also nominated for making a difference are: Maggie Wissler, Rhonda Kidwell, Elana Ellis, Megan Williams, Irma Hodzic, and, in January, Michelle Reitz.

Thank you all for the outstanding work!
