Research focus

My research delves into exploring the morphological and molecular changes in the cerebrovasculature following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). I am fervently driven by the prospect of identifying innovative therapeutic approaches aimed at averting or mitigating the consequences of Early Brain Injury (EBI) and Delayed Cerebral Ischemia (DCI) – the foremost preventable determinants of unfavorable outcomes in aSAH patients. My ultimate goal is to translate our promising preclinical therapeutic targets into tangible advancements for patients afflicted by a ruptured brain aneurysm, thereby leading to a paradigm shift in personalized medicine for prognostication and cerebroprotection in SAH.
