As a pharmacologist, I’m excited to work on developing a novel therapeutic molecule with minimal side effects to improve patients’ lives.

Research focus
I am a pharmacologist with extensive research experience in preclinical models for various neurological diseases including Alzheimer’s disease (AD), epilepsy, traumatic brain injury and subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). I also have more than ten years of experience in neurobehavioral assessment of rodents and small animal surgery including stereotaxic. I am interested in investigating the pharmacological, as well as non-pharmacological interventions (like physical exercise and cognitive training), for the treatment or management of devastating neurodegenerative disease including AD and SAH. My research helps to understand and manage of these diseases. The long-term goal of my research is to discover newer molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in pathophysiology of AD and SAH and develop novel pharmacotherapeutic agents for the treatment of these diseases.
