Clinical & research interests
I am broadly interested in translational and computational approaches to understanding, diagnosing, and treating primary malignant brain tumors:
- Glioblastoma
- Low grade gliomas
- Brain tumor biology
- Brain tumor genetics and genomics
- Molecular mechanisms of tumor cell behavior
- Lipidomics
One particular focus of my research is novel magnetic resonance imaging techniques for neuro-oncology:
- Translational applications of brain and spine MRI
- Diffusion MRI
- Diffusion basis spectrum imaging
- Diffusion histology imaging
I also use advanced statistical and data science methods to drive improvements in neuro-oncology and neurosurgery:
- Biomarker discovery and validation
- Machine learning
- Artificial intelligence
